I was wondering, shouldn't we have the following page on the ofbiz
website frontpage? http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBIZ/Main+New+Features i had so much difficulty finding it...... Regards, Hans -- Antwebsystems.com: Quality OFBiz services for competitive rates |

Yes, maybe in "Resources & Tools" section (just below Main Documentation Page?) rather than at bottom of "Learn more about the
project" paragraph. Though we could also replace "In the News" section by "What's new?" and sub sections * Main New Features (a link) * In the news My 2 cts Jacques From: "Hans Bakker" <[hidden email]> >I was wondering, shouldn't we have the following page on the ofbiz > website frontpage? > > http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBIZ/Main+New+Features > > i had so much difficulty finding it...... > > Regards, > Hans > > -- > Antwebsystems.com: Quality OFBiz services for competitive rates > |
It was always my intention to completely redo the information layout on the front page and start to better structure the information on confluence to reach things more easily. This is a perfect example of this needing to happen because "Coming Soon" is definitely something that needs to be shown.
I also think that when the community starts in on an initiative we should have something internal - that looks like an internal press release - that's on our docs site, but's referenced in the recent news. This will allow people to see what new things are being pushed right at the moment and then we could have a real release when they're done. We could always make minor changes, but the structure needs to be thought thru globally since it is hard to find things. My two cents.
