error message is not being displayed when the mandatory fields are left
blank (field validation error).
here i hav included the part of code from my controller.xml ,

<site-conf xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
        xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="

Hello Subramanya,
Try including messages.ftl which will show you validation error messages
on your screen.

Re: not able to display error message

BJ Freeman
what version are you using.
regions has been depreciated in the trunk.
my suggestion is the framework/example against what your are doing.
also have you gone through the
http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBIZ/OFBiz+Beginner%27s+Development+Guide+Using+Practice+Application

    <view-map name="error" page="/error/error.jsp"/>

the error.jsp
would be in the webapps/(componetname)/error/error.jsp
