Converting OST (Outlook Offline Storage Table) files to PST (Personal Storage Table) format can be necessary when you need to migrate data from one Outlook account to another, recover data from a damaged OST file, or switch from an Exchange account to a different email service. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to perform this conversion using Microsoft Outlook:
Method 1: Using Microsoft Outlook
Open Outlook in Offline Mode:
Make sure Outlook is not connected to the Exchange server. You can do this by either disconnecting from the internet or working in Offline mode.
Create a New PST File:
Go to "File" > "New" > "Outlook Data File."
Choose "Office Outlook Personal Folders File (.pst)" and click "OK."
Select a location to save the new PST file and provide a name.
Import OST Data into PST:
In Outlook, go to "File" > "Open & Export" > "Import/Export."
Choose "Import from another program or file" and click "Next."
Select "Outlook Data File (.pst)" and click "Next."
Browse and select the OST file you want to convert.
Choose the folder(s) you want to import. You can also check the box to include subfolders.
Select the new PST file you created earlier as the destination.
Choose how to handle duplicates, and click "Next."
Finish the Import:
Click "Finish" to start the import process.
Depending on the size of your OST file, the process may take some time.
Access the Converted Data:
You will now find the imported data from the OST file in the selected folder of the PST file.
