product description on packing slip?

Hi All,

 

 

I need a product description, as well as the Product ID, included on the
packing slip.

I've searched the docs and fussed with the Product Manager without results.

Do I need to change something on the backend or did I miss something in
configuring the product?

/product/widget/facility/shipmentscreens.xml#PackingSlip.fo
and/or
/product/widget/facility/shipmentscreens.xml#ShipmentManifest.fo

Have not gone over them, but may have to change the bsh files as well as
the .fo files

The packing slip by default displays the Internal Name of the product,
so if you want the name of description then you'll have to change the
source as BJ suggested.

Internal Name is used throughout the system though so I would suggest
you do fill it with data.

Hi Ray,

I have revision: 588758 and by default it is displaying the Product ID.

9512 -

Is all I get on the Packing Slip.
Can I configure ofbiz to show the "Internal Name" instead? If so, where?

As ray said the internal name is already for display.
It is blank normally.

here is how the demo data looks on the product page.
you see the Digital Gizmo is the internal name an will show on the
packing slip.
this is as as of 55450
