Hm, it's always a good idea to send a message to the mailing list when you have the answer right under your nose... ;-)
I just spotted a "suppliers" tab on the Product page.
Is that a new feature in Sequioa rather than Ofbiz? I don't see it in
Ofbiz 3.0, which I used to get acquianted with the model. So I guess I
should use Sequioa then...
BTW: is there a patch to run Sequioa 0.8.1 on Java 5?
Cheers,
Hes.

Hi
I am new to Orbiz. I am evaluating it to use it for a web store
application and I am impressed but also a little overwhelmed by the
entire Ofbiz suite.
I've managed to set up catalogs and products, but now I wondered how to do the following.
I want to associate products with suppliers. Is the OEM Party ID in the
product properties meant for that? It doesn't ring quite well. Is there
a mechanism for managing vendors/suppliers and relate them to products?
I am also looking for a way to specify the buying price of a product
(The price we pay to buy the item), so we can calculate profit margins.
The Prices tab in the Product page seems to model selling prices only.
Since it is all new to me I am probably overlooking something... any hints would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Hes.
