leftbar setting problem

Hi,
I am not getting the keyword search to the left of the container.
Instead it is placed to the top of the main and rightbar pages.
I am using the following coding for this.
<screen name="leftbar">
<section>
<widgets>
<container style="left">
<include-screen name="keywordsearchbox" location="component://ecommerce/widget/CatalogScreens.xml"/>
</container>
</widgets>
</section>
</screen>
I tried many ways.
I could not find "left" in any css.
I could find "right" in global.css.
