I don't know of any ofbiz modules. You might want to look at jabber
as a good open source I.M. technology. I'm not sure what the license
is but there are lots of clients to choose from and the security is
good. You could possibly integrate this with ofbiz but it depends on
what you want to accomplish.
If the objective is to control I.M. Communication internally than
jabber is a good solution.
