externalLoginKey in REST services

Folks,

I'm trying to develop an REST service that will authenticate a user against OfBiz and retrieve the externalLoginKey. Does anyone have any clue on how to do this?
I know that retrieving the sessionID is possible, but I can't find a way to retrieve the externalLoginKey.
