Issues with WebPos (ofbiz newbie)

Hi everyone, I am taking ofbiz for a spin and am interested in the "webpos" application. I have noticed that:

    I can still sell a product even when it is out of stock (I have configured: "Disc. when not available = Y")
    I cannot update the price of a product using the "new price" text field
    I get: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.ofbiz.ecommerce.misc.ThirdPartyEvents in the console when I try to update the price in the WebPos
    I am using Release17.12
