Step 1: Enable IMAP Protocol in Gmail

First login to your Gmail account and click on the Gear icon.
After this, choose the See all settings option and navigate to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
From the IMAP Access section choose the Enable IMAP radio button.
After all this, click on Save Changes to save the setting.

Step 2: Configure Gmail Account to Thunderbird

Open Thunderbird and go to the Tools & click on the Account Settings
After this select Account Actions & opt for the option Add Mail account.
Now, enter all the required details like Name, Gmail Username, and Password, and click on the Continue button.
Choose the IMAP and click on the Done button.
Once the task is complete, get back to the main window where you will see the Gmail account on the left pane.
Right-click on the Gmail account & choose New Folder.
Enter the name of the Folder & click on the Create Folder button.
Now get back to the Thunderbird account & select all the data that you want to transfer to Outlook.
Right-click and choose the Copy option to copy all Thunderbird mailbox data.
Now, go to the Gmail Folder that you have just created and paste the data over there.
Wait till Gmail syncs all the copied mail to the server. Once the syncing process is done, then move towards the third step.

Step 3: Access the Same Gmail Account in Outlook

Well, this is the last step in order to convert thunderbird MBOX to PST. So, in this process, we are going to access the Thunderbird data via the same Gmail account.

And to do this follow the below steps:

Open the Outlook application & click on the File option.
Now, go to the Add Account option & choose Manual Setup >> Next.
Choose IMAP or POP & click on the Next.
In the next window enter all the details like Name, Email Address, Account type Incoming mail server, Outgoing mail server, User name, & Password.
After this click on the More Setting & navigate to the Advanced tab.
In the Advanced tab set the port number as 993/995 and 465/587 respectively.
After all the settings click on the OK and Test Setting and once all the detail is verified click on the Next button.
That’s all you have to do if you want to transfer Thunderbird emails to Outlook. Now you can use the Outlook Import/Export option to convert Thunderbird MBOX to PST.
