Apart https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBADMIN/OFBiz+Documentation+Index#OFBizDocumentationIndex-ConfigurationDocuments
you might find useful the "Apache HTTPD (Apache Web server)" section of
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/FAQ+-+Tips+-+Tricks+-+Cookbook+-+HowTo

Other that that we have no specific documentation on deploying OFBiz. You will have to refer to external documentation.
I recommend to use Postgres as DBMS

Re: Deployment on the web freehostia.com

OK thanks,
But for hosting: the hoster (free hostia for instance) must have a apache
server or no? or it depends only of dbms that he provides?
And also, with your personnal experience, could you advise me a special
hoster for ofbiz ecommerce web site?
I don't need powerfil capacities for moment (i'm still in development stage)

Thanks

Hi Antony,

Apache server is optional for ofbiz deployment.
if you have mysql dbms is enough.
Even we can run the ofbiz with Amazon EC2 m1.small instance.

In France, OVH seems a good solution to me. You will need a dedicated server anyway, then you can upload what you need, Postgres for instance...

Antony,

You may test Amazon AWS for free also (limited time). For Postgres see https://aws.amazon.com/fr/rds/postgresql/

Re: Deployment on the web freehostia.com

Antony Adopo
Thank you Jacques,

sorry for answering latter but I would try before. Effectively, I successly
deployed my ofbiz app on AWS by copying my "ofbizapp" folder in my linux
instance on AWS and I launch it with "ant load-demo" . it seems that it
works. But how visualizing in a browser? I try to use the public and
private IP/DNS that amazon gave me. but when I launch it on my computer
browser "amazonIP:8080/ecommerce", it doens't work. my browser told me that
it couldn't resolve the adress.
Normally, it means that Ofbiz have an built-in apache server, so I don't
understand what it doesn't work.
I use Amazon Machine LInux
And one thing, "t1.micro EC2", free instance of amazon machine is not
enough for ofbiz because it is only 613 Mo of storage. I have to use
"m1.small EC2" instance  because it provides me 1.7 Go. I pay a litlle
amount (0.036$/hr)
Please help me how using ofbiz after installation on dedicated machine?

Antony,

1. make sure ofbiz is started and running
2. in amazon security settings, you have to allow http/https connections on
ports 8080 and 8443
3. use your box public dns address
