Hello All,
I just have gone thru this link https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Documentation#Documentation-ConfigurationDocuments Here, under Configuration Documents heading, following has wrong links: 1. OFBiz core framework configuration guide. 2. Entity Engine (database) configuration guide. 3. Service engine configuration guide. On click, these links are showing Not Found error. I think proper links for above mentioned documents: #1. https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Framework+Configuration+Guide #2. https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Entity+Engine+Guide #3. https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Service+Engine+Configuration+Guide If I am going wrong, please correct me. Thanks Renuka Srishti |
Good catch Renuka. Wrong links should be updated with correct one.

Hi Renuka,
I see that you are a wiki contributors, so please feel free to update this page yourself,. Not only these pages but also others with errors you may find. Like for commits we (I at least) use a CTR (Commit Then Review) way for the wiki. I always review changes in wiki, so I case I'd spot something I'd tell you afterwards :) Thanks Jacques Le 25/08/2017 à 15:43, Renuka Srishti a écrit : > Hello All, > > I just have gone thru this link > https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Documentation#Documentation-ConfigurationDocuments > > Here, under Configuration Documents heading, following has wrong links: > > 1. Jacques , I was also thinking of the same.
I wish we bring the same level of polish in this project which is so strong in core. and collaborative effort is the way to go. Even i came across some broken links but did not raise alarm thinking it would be already known to "someone" ( I know think differently though ) At times we also come across documentation errors for which we do not know the correct resolution , what is the best/preferred approach there ? (1) leave a page comment or (2) create a JIRA documentation issue ? (3) report here (4) report in chatroom. regds mallah. Also, I would like to discuss one more point here, There are two types
links for a page which we can see: 1) Address bar link: <http://goog_272321531> https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/ Framework+Configuration+Guide 2) Tiny link <http://goog_272321532> https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/x/RYH_Ag I think we should use the Tiny link because if we will move page Address bar link changes. Please correct me in case I'm wrong. thanks Best Regards, *Sanjay Yadav* Manager, Enterprise Quality Assurance HotWax Systems On Fri, Aug 25, 2017 at 7:25 PM, Sanjay Yadav <sanjay.yadav@hotwaxsystems. com> wrote: > Good catch Renuka. Rajesh,
The recommended way, if you are not a contributor, is to leave a page comment? If you are a contributor and *really in doubt* then ask here. Becoming a contributor is. It's explained on top of each wiki page) Reporting in chat room is not recommended unless you specifically ask a person using the @... syntax. For new pages or big changes we often discuss in dev ML and sometimes create related Jiras Jacques Le 25/08/2017 à 16:21, Rajesh Mallah a écrit : > Jacques , I was also thinking of the same. > > I wish we bring the same level of polish in this project which is so strong > in core. > and collaborative effort is the way to go. > > Even i came across some broken links but did not raise alarm thinking it > would be > already known to "someone" ( I know think differently though ) > > At times we also come across documentation errors for which we do not know > the correct > resolution , what is the best/preferred approach there ? > > (1) leave a page comment or > (2) create a JIRA documentation issue ? > (3) report here > (4) report in chatroom. > > regds > mallah. > > > > On Fri, Aug 25, 2017 at 7:35 PM, Jacques Le Roux < > [hidden email]> wrote: > >> Hi Renuka, >> >> I see that you are a wiki contributors, so please feel free to update this >> page yourself,. Hi Sanjay ,
I feel having verbose urls help in recalling an old context and also most browser address bars do auto complete url tokens. Especially when documentation is going through a re-organisation phase it shall be easier to spot duplicates or inconsistent names. I feel the primary reason of having tiny links is to make sharing easier. regds mallah. Thanks Michael,
I have also edited few links but stuck in the following section: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Documentation#Documentation-DocumentsandGuides In this link, there is one section "Main Documentation", in this section we have subheading "Documents and Guides", I need to know what should be the right link for "Framework Overview" and "Workflow Engine Guide" so that I can fix these links. https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBTECH/Service+Engine+Guide I think we can delete this page.
