Getting started: Git or svn

Jim Hinson
Hi,

I see that there are repos on github. The getting started docs point to
SVN. Is that the best place to start?

thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim,

Your message has been moderated.

Please subscribe to the user ML for such questions and then use your email
client
See also why here http://ofbiz.apache.org/mailing-lists.html

You will get a better support , it's more fair to share with everybody  and
people can answer you on the ML rather than directly to you
The wider the audience the better the answers you might get

Also it's more work for moderators who have to accept your messages as long
as you have not subscribed.
I'll personally no longer accept them (other moderators still could)

Thanks & Regards

Hi Jim,

Git is read replica of svn in case of OFBiz repo. You can start with svn.

Hi Jim,

You can either start with the GitHub repositories or the SVN repos based on
your skill level with either.

We started a while back to discuss migrating to Git as the primary VCS, but
we haven't migrated yet

Best regards,

Pierre Smits
