Opening an OST (Outlook Offline Data File) without Microsoft Outlook can be a bit challenging since OST files are designed to work in conjunction with Outlook and are not meant to be directly accessible without it. However, there are a few methods you can try:

Method 1: Use a Third-Party OST Viewer or Converter

Several third-party tools are available that allow you to open and view the contents of OST files without Outlook. Some of these tools may also provide the option to export the data to other file formats. Here are the steps to use such a tool:

Download and install a reputable OST file viewer or converter software. Some popular options include Stellar Converter for OST, Kernel for OST Viewer, and 4Team OST Viewer.

Launch the software.

Open the OST file using the software's interface. Typically, there will be an option to browse for the OST file you want to open.

Once the OST file is loaded, you should be able to view its contents, including emails, contacts, calendar items, and more.

Some software tools may also allow you to export the data to other formats, such as PST, EML, or MSG, which can be imported into other email clients.

Method 2: Convert OST to PST (Outlook Data File)

Another way to access the data in an OST file without Outlook is to convert it to a PST (Outlook Data File) format. PST files are more universally supported by various email clients. To do this, you can use a third-party OST to PST converter tool, such as Stellar Converter for OST or Kernel for OST to PST.

Here's a simplified process:

Install and run an OST to PST conversion tool.

Select the OST file you want to convert.

Choose the destination location for the resulting PST file.

Start the conversion process.

Once the conversion is complete, you can open the PST file using various email clients, such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or even import it into online email services like Gmail.

Please note that using third-party software for opening or converting OST files may have limitations, especially in terms of recovering data from highly corrupted OST files. Additionally, ensure you have the necessary permissions and rights to access and convert OST files, as they may be associated with specific email accounts.

Always be cautious when using third-party software, and ensure that you're using reputable tools to avoid potential security risks or data loss.
