Meta Data

Brendan Vogt
Hi,

I want to know where is the meta keywords and description is set for a
category.  If I view the demo data's category with category ID of PC-100,
there is only:

<meta name="keywords" content="Demo Catalog" />

Brendan

here is another resource and a subject
http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBIZ/Search+Products
if you do a search on keywords you get a list of link about keywords.
easy way to search the manuals.

meta name is an html tag used in webpages.

Re: Meta Data

Catalog has a switch to allow key word genteration.
when a page is created on the ecommerce side if there are keywords this
tag is generated automatically
https://demo.hotwaxmedia.com/catalog/control/main
note at the bottom
Auto Create Keywords for All Products
you can also define this in each product.

Re: Meta Data

BJ Freeman
for what it worth, meta data is not used by most search engines.
you might want to look up SEO and get familar with the current practices
of search engine to rate sites.
