Hi Everyone
One issue that came up in the Community Day last Saturday was related to Jira profile permissions. A while ago Pierre trialled the use of the 'Contributor' group permission within Jira. This group has additional permissions to assign themselves to an issue (e.g. while they are preparing a patch or doing analysis etc) and also they can add or remove issues from a sprint. The trial with Pierre went well and over the weekend I added Gil and Martin into this group to resolve the issues they were having. I'd like to suggest that we move everyone that has an ICLA in place from the standard Jira user group into the Contributor group. What is the general feedback on this? Thanks Sharan |

I agree that every contributor should be in "Contributor" group :) ! Gil On 22/06/2015 10:04, Sharan-F wrote:

+1. Nice move. PDFBox did this before, and then we saw Tilman Hausherr's great contributions.

Hi Everyone
Thanks for your feedback. The general feeling is that we do go ahead with this. As a next step, I will go through the list of people on our list of contributors on the wiki (see link below) looking for people with an ICLA in place. https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Apache+OFBiz+Contributors People with an ICLA in place that also have a Jira account, I will move into the Jira Contributors group. If I find anyone without an ICLA in place I won't move them into the Contributors group for now but will contact them about getting an ICLA setup For anyone that is not on our wiki contributors list buI does have a Jira account then please add yourself to the wiki contributors list and I will monitor it any changes. Thanks Sharan |
It seems that Confluence and Jira permissions are not integrated. So maybe
it would be best if those contributors would state both their IDs in the Contributors page.
