Moving MyPortal from specialpurpose to framework

David E Jones-3

Hello all, and especially Hans,

One thing on my pre-release-branch to do list is to move the myportal
component to the framework, as part of my deviant future plans for the
component (basically an easy tool for data-driven role-specific UIs
that use portlets based on screens from applications and other
components.

I'd like to do this soon (in the next day or two) and work on
extracting non-framework things too.

While I've mentioned this before, I wanted to throw out a heads-up
(especially to Hans) and also request feedback before going for it.

-David

David,

i am at the moment working to move the communicationEvents part back
into the party component under a new tabkey 'myCommuncations' .
Communications, mycommunications and the portlet "communications" all
use the same screens and forms. It is taking however longer then i
thought. I hope to have this finished the end of this week. Moving the
other parts, time registration, tasks, company-events, invoice and
custrequets should be less work, but still a number of days..

so to be honest i am not ready to move yet.....

Regards,
Hans

Should we also consider a new name for the framework component? I.e.
"portal" instead of "myPortal"
