Multi-Organization Rollup

Eva Bowman
I have setup 3 internal organizations in PartyManager. Two of these internal organizations have a relationship of "Group Member of the top level organization (ID=10000)".

I have run sales transactions through the child/member organizations. When running Accounting/Financial reports for the top level organization (10000) I was expecting to see a financial rollup or consolidated accounting data from all of its members. I was not able to see the rollup.

Does Ofbiz offer this capability? If so, did I miss something when setting up the Parties?

Thank you,
Evangelina Bowman

Yes, this is supported. The easiest way to test it (and understand the
data setup) is to look at the demo data. Once you've looked at how
things are setup there it will be a lot easier to do it with data you
add.

Jacopo Cappellato-4
The company/divisions setup mentioned by David is in the accounting/
data/DemoOrganizationData.xml
See for example how the MARKETING division is associated to the
Company party.

Re: Multi-Organization Rollup

Eva Bowman
Jacopo and David,

Thank you for the information. The Party setup is correct, however, the financial reports don't seem to be rolling up the data. When I generate a trial balance for the top level company (10000), the report does not combine the transactions associated with the member organizations.  We looked in the ReportFinancialSummaryScreens.xml and it does not look like it is checking the company relationship and adding the financial data for the member organizations.

Any ideas of what could be going wrong?

Thanks,
Eva
