Multi-language Support in PDF Generation [Localization in fo.ftl files]

Chandra Shekar Maddi
Hello,

I am working on one implementation where I allow user to enter text in any
language and stores that text to database with column type
character(UTF-8). I am able to fetch and render this text on html pages (in
ftl). But, if I do render that text in pdf (*.fo.ftl) I get ####... . After
doing more research I got to know that I should use font-family which is
able to encode UTF-8 characters of that local language.

Do anyone has any suggestions How can text (Which could be in any language)
gets rendered in pdf?

Thanks&Regards,

You may also have a look at the notosans font.
It's by Google and embedded in OFBiz (trunk at least) but also R14 and 15
