Hi All
A quick note to let you know that I've updated the project website to use a modified logo (Thanks very much to Mandeep Sidhu for the graphic work!). I think the image needs to be transparent so that it will display well over any background so if anyone can me help out with converting the image to do that, then please let me know. Over the next few days I will be updating our marketing and branding pages to make sure we are consistently communicating this updated logo. I think the two main ones to use as our project branding will be this updated logo (i.e.without the Open For Business Project text) and the circular Powered By Apache logo. (I'll look at getting it updated with this logo (as the existing one doesnt have the Trademark symbol included). I'll also make a wiki page with a task list of where we need to update or change the logo from the previous one and start working through that. There are also a few places outside the wiki and website where the logo is used so if you spot one that I haven't captured then please feel free to update my task list and add it. I know the previous logo with the Open For Business Project text has been used in the releases and would suggest that we only currently change it in the Trunk and 14.12 for now. As usual – any feedback or help welcome! Thanks Sharan |
Thank you for working on this!

Thanks Sharan,
As this is now public, we not only need to ensure that it in trunk and r14.12 (for both themes re frontend - ecommerce/cmssite and backend), but that it also in upcoming releases for 12.04 and 13.07. We shouldn't have different logos in various releases after to today. External sites I can think of: - wikipedia - openhub I will take care of those. Thanks for the feedback Pierre.
I've just got an offer from someone to help create a transparent logo so let's wait for that to make sure we use right one. It would be nice; however we will need some help to tweak the new logo to render nicely with our themes (it doesn't work very well right now). Jacopo |
If it's related to the logo size then I've just been sent some graphics
for the logo in a few different sizes so will get them loaded onto the marketing material pages. > On Mar 25, 2015, at 5:08 PM, Pierre Smits <[hidden email]> wrote: > >> As this is now public, we not only need to ensure that it in trunk and >> r14.12 (for both themes re frontend - ecommerce/cmssite and backend), but >> that it also in upcoming releases for 12.04 and 13.07. > It would be nice; however we will need some help to tweak the new logo to render nicely with our themes (it doesn't work very well right now). > > Jacopo > |
It is more related about the colors and the background of our default theme: they don't seem to play very well together. But I am (partially) color blinded so my opinion is not too important :-)

Ok - I see what you mean. It's dark blue on a black background (for Tomahawk) so really we really need to have the logo available in white too. Nah. Even the opinion of the somewhat colour blinded is important regarding
