Yes. If you can see any inaccuracies (multiplicity for instance), please let me know and i'll correct them. More detail could go in if necessary, such as field names. I could supply the model file too (ArgoUML) I wasn't sure if the concept of navigability was wholly applicable in OfBiz, but it points up the direction of the field relationships at least. I'm a little puzzled too by the 'hanging' entity ExampleItem. Has anyone, btw, written anything about this 'example application'? Yes, there are training materials from the conference training this year that have diagrams and an overview of the example app. We haven't done anything more formal yet. The ExampleItem shouldn't be hanging, it has a foreign key reference to the Example entity. -David On Nov 21, 2005, at 2:59 PM, Charles Johnson wrote: >>> Did you do this manually? > > Yes. the new project i'm working on, doesn't need ofbiz' applications and i
just wanted to use the framework part of it. so i'm tring to separate the framework from ofbiz. as a first step, i just all subfolders of applications, added a new folder myapp, modified build.xml and component-load.xml, and called ant run-install. build runs fine, but installation failed. i received an error message: [java] Exception: org.ofbiz.entity.GenericModelException [java] Message: Could not find definition for entity name Party so tried to re-added the party-application, but now i receive [java] Exception: org.ofbiz.entity.GenericModelException [java] Message: Could not find definition for entity name Product so it seem's, that the framework's entitymodels aren't completly contained in the framework. before re-adding other applications step by step, i think it's time to ask other about the right way. any hints how to continue? thanks in advance, andi btw: i would really like to support this task of separating the framework from the rest, as soon as we've finally decided to use ofbiz for the project to come (some other technical requirements have to be fulfilled before) David E. There is a better approach to this than adding the applications back one at a time and that is to trace down the data dependencies and do something about them. There shouldn't be any references to Party or Product in the framework (a Party slipping in I could imagine, but Product doesn't make much sense). This is the bulk of the technical work that needs to be done for the framework separation, ie tracing down dependencies. -David On Nov 25, 2005, at 7:56 AM, Andreas Schmidt wrote: > the new project i'm working on, doesn't need ofbiz' applications > and i just wanted to use the framework part of it. > > so i'm tring to separate the framework from ofbiz. > > as a first step, i just all subfolders of applications, added a new > folder myapp, modified build.xml and component-load.xml, and called > ant run-install. > > build runs fine, but installation failed. i received an error message: > > [java] Exception: org.ofbiz.entity.GenericModelException > [java] Message: Could not find definition for entity name Party > > so tried to re-added the party-application, but now i receive > > [java] Exception: org.ofbiz.entity.GenericModelException > [java] Message: Could not find definition for entity name Product > > so it seem's, that the framework's entitymodels aren't completly > contained in the framework. before re-adding other applications > step by step, i think it's time to ask other about the right way. > > any hints how to continue? > > thanks in advance, > andi > > btw: i would really like to support this task of separating the > framework from the rest, as soon as we've finally decided to use > ofbiz for the project to come (some other technical requirements > have to be fulfilled before) > > David E. Some clarification please.
one the separation is done, would there still be effort to keep the appliations in sync with the frame work. if not how do you see the applications being supported. David E. i don't feel deep enough into ofbiz to know how to "do something about"
references to entities outside the framework. the only idea i have, is to move all entity-definitions that are referenced from the framework into a new component inside the framework (or maybe into the common-component). this sould work without any code-changes. but is this the right way? btw.: i started to reduce ofbiz to the framework, because i just wanted to evaluate the entity-engine without the ofbiz-applications and couldn't find documentation how to use the entity-engine without the framework. any ideas, where i could find such information? or do i have to use the whole framework for that, if i don't want to recode much of the configuration/data-facilities of the entity-engine? thanks, andi David E. Hi All,
I am new to ofbiz. I have just setup ofbiz. I am trying to use the external application to use ofbiz via SOAP. I got the below exception AxisFault faultCode: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Server.userException faultSubcode: faultString: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException Then i came to know about the SSL Certificate Setup from http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBTECH/Apache+OFBiz+Technical+Production+Setup+Guide#ApacheOFBizTechnicalProductionSetupGuide-SSLCertificateSetup It asks me to generate the CSR and submit it to any signing authority. But the problem in my case is the enviroment in which i am trying to use is testing environment and so I dont have any domain nem like www.domainname.com(as in the example). Can you please tell me how can i generate the certificate to test in the intranet with out domain name?(I usually use http://machinename:8443/ to access) |
You can use a self signed certificate that means you can act as your own
CA. I am not sure, how it will be done in your environment, but you can search for "Self signed certificate" on Google. http://www.google.co.in/search?q=self+signed+certificate&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=com.ubuntu:en-US:unofficial&client=firefox-a Thanks, Raj krishna_ani wrote: > Hi All, > I am new to ofbiz.
