[OFBiz] Users - jcentric.com where ahve you gone? where is my website?

Adrian Grealish
This is for Andy,

I know that you know Clint Dalton from Jcentric.com personally and would
like to ask you if you know why his company and my business (ofbiz)
e-commerce site has dissapperred. As you may recall it has been an absolute
nightmare dealing with Jcentric and Clint in particular.

Yesterday i thought it was a DNS problem but today it appears all Jcentric
related servers have disappearred. Have they gone out of business? Can you
help me track them down as they are not answering the phone and email
bounce. I need to know as this is the lead up to chrsitmas where most online
retail happens...but you knew that already.

Thanks,
Adrian

Andrew Zeneski
Adrian,

To be honest I haven't been in touch with Clint in some time. I was
working with him in the beginning (when I was still living in
Raleigh, NC) but since I relocated to NYC we haven't been in touch
much. As of right now I have no idea, but if I speak with him I will
surely find out and let you know.

Adrian Grealish
Andy,

Could you please contact him and tell him I'm trying to contact him about my
web site. I am a paying customer and want to know what's going on.

Or could you give me his contact info, his phone number and/or email address
that's not @jcentric.com as Jcentric phone numbers no longer work so I can't
get his cell phone (don't send that info on the mailing list but just to my
email address?)

Thanks,
Adrian

In reply to this post by Adrian Grealish
All the contact info I have for him is his email and cell phone from
over a year ago. If they are no longer working (as they both were
jcentric business contacts) then I won't have any which will help;
sorry.

[OFBiz] Users - RemoteDispatcher not bound to : entity-sync-rmi (RMIDispatcher)

Andrew Sykes
In reply to this post by MPF-2
Hi,

Getting RMI up has been like wading through treacle, I think I'll have
to put together a howto if I ever get it to work!

A big thanks to Andy for your help with the SSL stuff, this was much
appreciated

Can anyone help with this problem...

I have the following in ofbiz-containers.xml
    <!-- RMI Service Dispatcher -->
    <container name="rmi-dispatcher"
class="org.ofbiz.service.rmi.RmiServiceContainer">
        <property name="bound-name" value="RMIDispatcher"/>
        <property name="bound-host" value="10.1.6.3"/>
        <property name="bound-port" value="1099"/>
        <property name="delegator-name" value="default"/>
        <property name="client-factory"
value="org.ofbiz.service.rmi.socket.ssl.SSLClientSocketFactory"/>
        <property name="server-factory"
value="org.ofbiz.service.rmi.socket.ssl.SSLServerSocketFactory"/>
        <property name="ssl-client-auth" value="true"/>
    </container>

I'm getting this error...

Re: [OFBiz] Users - RemoteDispatcher not bound to : entity-sync-rmi (RMIDispatcher)

Andrew Zeneski
Here is a little information which may help.

The ofbiz-container file defines the RMI server. Where the server
will stuff the remote object and the location of the JNDI server to use.

In your setting you are telling the RMI container to place the
RemoteDispatcher object on the JNDI server located on 10.1.6.3 port
1099. It should bind it to the name RMIDispatcher on this server.

If you are running a stock OFBiz then make sure this address matches
that in your carol.properties file for the RMI registry.

The client which will access the RMI server needs to be configured as
well.  This is done by editing the serviceengine.xml and editing the
service-location entry for the entity-sync-rmi or whatever location
you are using for your entity sync records. Make sure this address
matches your RMI registry and location. Right now yours is:

rmi://10.1.6.3:1099/RMIDispatcher

Re: [OFBiz] Users - RemoteDispatcher not bound to : entity-sync-rmi (RMIDispatcher)

Andrew Sykes
In reply to this post by Andrew Zeneski
Andy,

Thank you for your email.

I've followed your advice but am still no further forward, I hope you
can spare a little more time on this...

My server config is...
*** ofbiz-containers.xml ***
    <!-- RMI Service Dispatcher -->
    <container name="rmi-dispatcher"
class="org.ofbiz.service.rmi.RmiServiceContainer">
        <property name="bound-name" value="RMIDispatcher"/>
        <property name="bound-host" value="10.1.6.3"/>
        <property name="bound-port" value="1099"/>
        <property name="delegator-name" value="default"/>
        <property name="client-factory"
value="org.ofbiz.service.rmi.socket.ssl.SSLClientSocketFactory"/>
        <property name="server-factory"
value="org.ofbiz.service.rmi.socket.ssl.SSLServerSocketFactory"/>
        <property name="ssl-client-auth" value="true"/>
    </container>

*** iiop.properties ***
carol.jrmp.url=rmi://10.1.6.3:1099

*** jrmp.properties ***
carol.jrmp.url=rmi://10.1.6.3:1099

My client config is...
*** serviceengine.xml ***
<service-location name="entity-sync-rmi"
location="rmi://10.1.6.3:1099/RMIDispatcher"/>

*** services.xml ***
    <service name="remoteStoreEntitySyncDataRmi" engine="rmi"
auth="true" use-transaction="false"
            location="entity-sync-rmi" invoke="storeEntitySyncData">
        <description>Remotely Store Entity Sync Data</description>
        <implements service="storeEntitySyncData"/>
    </service>

The error is exactly the same as before.

I hope you can shed a little light on this for me, I seem to be in a
VERY dark place indeed at the moment, I just can't think of anything
else to try...

Kind Regards
Andrew

In reply to this post by Andrew Zeneski
So are the mailing lists still on JCentric.com? You said they were back on
the 19th of November, did you manage to move them, did you contact Clint
Dalton?

Very interested to see...

Re: Users - jcentric.com where have you gone? where ismywebsite? money?

Matthew E. Porter-2
I will let David or Andy respond to this one, but suffice it to say,
the mailing lists are no longer at jcentric.com.

Cheers,

Re: Users - jcentric.com where have you gone? where ismywebsite? money?

David E. Jones

We did move the mailing lists to our Contegix server based on an
earlier backup of the mailing list info from the jcentric server. The
jcentric server actually lasted amazingly well, but eventually went
down and after a few days the Contegix guys helped get things setup
on the ofbiz.org server there based on a backup of the mailing lists
Andy had from late November.
