Please Complete the OFBiz Documentation Survey

Hi Everyone

I’ve put together a short survey that I hope will help give us a snapshot of the community profile and their use of the existing documentation.The information gathered will be used to help us update and re-organise the documentation in a way that will make it easier for people to use.

I'll publish the results on this mailing list - which I think will be useful for everyone to see.

Please be aware that the Survey Monkey free account limits me to a maximum of 100 responses per survey but once we reach that limit I think I'll be able to launch another copy of the same survey to capture additional responses. I think it's going to be interesting to see how many responses we get.......

Thank you Jacopo and all the other people who have already completed the survey.

Please note that this survey is open to everyone who is interested in or uses OFBiz. Even if you only use the mailing lists to read through rather than post or answer questions - I am interested in your response.

If you have used or currently use the existing documentation - I'm interested in your opinion of it and where we should focus.

It's only 10 questions and you will be finished before you know it!

Hi Pierre

Thanks for your questions - I've responded to them below.

I would like to keep the survey open for the next couple of weeks to get as much coverage as possible so plan to close it by 6th October.  (At the moment we have had 48 responses).

I can probably give some initial summary feedback on the survey straight away (say on the 7th October) but I would like a few days to collate the data properly and post it onto a Wiki page. So at this stage I would say that we should have the all information available by the week of 13th October if not earlier.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If we reach the 100 response limit using the first survey link then please use the following link instead.

If you’d like a taste of what we have collected based on the responses so far

• 10% are running 11.04 or earlier (so this maybe relevant to a current discussion of supported releases)
• Over 60% of respondents have been running OFBiz for 5 years or less (30% have been running OFBiz for 2 years or less – so are new users which is also a relevant discussion)
• 50% have 10 users or less
• 20% would like to get more involved with OFBiz and the community (once again another relevant topic)

I’m really pleased with the results so far so thanks everyone and please keep the responses coming.
