Product Name

Hello all,

I found that the product name field is not present in the product
creation form. It's strange because this field is used in the order details.
Is somebody can explain this oversight ?

Can we imagine to put product name in the product creation form ?

Hi Julien,

If it is part of the Product entity, I feel it should be part of the
product creation process.

It's because it's set in https://localhost:8443/catalog/control/EditProductContent with other fields like description. You can also have translations
there, etc.

No matter how it is shown in display screens, nor how it set in additional
functionalities (EditProductContent), I believe it is a good thing to
enable users to set it in the initial creation process.

The display process (esp. in the ecommerce component) should have a proper
logic applied.

Checked the product name input over the product create/edit form not
exists. Here is the Jira ticket for the same- OFBIZ-7139. We would try to
provide patch asap.
