Quotes with Tax

Gordon Messmer
When I create quotes in OFBiz, no tax is calculated.  If the quote
recipient goes to the ecommerce site and adds the same items to a
shopping cart, tax is calculated.

I need quotes to calculate tax in the same way that the ecommerce site
does.  Am I missing something obvious?

Sales Tax and VAT/GST are dependent of the buyer location. When you create a quote you do not have this information

Gordon,

I thought a bit about my answer. It was wrong : we may have a party associated to a quote, did you put an information there ?

That's correct Jacques. A quote could have an address/location
associated with it if desired. It's just another bit of information,
and one that is often needed in order to accurately quote an expected
price.
