Sending communication event to Party Group

Kojo Gambrah-Sampaney-2
Hello everyone,
I would like to know if a message sent to a Party Group is sent to all
the members of the the Party Group or to only the contact of the Party
Group itself.

Thanks.

A partygroup is just a party as is a contact, so yes only sent to the
partygroup itself.

If you would like to send to a group of parties, use the contactlist in
the marketing component.

Hans

Thanks for the clarification. I am thinking of implementing a service that
sends the mail to all the members of the party group. I think that mostly in
party groups will be created to reflect the hierarchy of the owning organisation.

More often than not, messages will target groups within the hierarchy
and therefore duplication of work can be avoided by not having to define a
contact lists as well.

Any thoughts or comments
