Stylesheet consolidation

Vinay Agarwal
Hello,

Has anyone done any work in consolidating/cleaning up the three stylesheets
being used currently?

Regards,

Vinay Agarwal

I can't speak for the eCommerce stylesheets, but consolidating the back office
stylesheets would be a good idea.

We're actively doing work on a few of the stylesheets and re-skinning
three separate instances.  We've been cleaning things up as they come,
but have been able to make most of the changes work cross browser by
changing only the CSS (and adding an ie_hacks.css file where appropriate
;) ).  If you have any specific questions, please feel free to fire away.

Cheers,
Tim

Tim,

We implemented skins here a year ago. It was interesting to see how many pages
didn't transform correctly because of FTL files that had attributes hard-coded
in them (instead of using CSS classes). I can appreciate the work ahead of you.

RE: Stylesheet consolidation

Tim, Adrian,

Would you guys like to share some of your work with the community? I don't
have a specific question other than I want something consolidated and
improved. I am not stylesheet/browser expert but I can see the need here
since I am always running into problems.

Regards,
Vinay Agarwal

We would definitely be down with getting some more information out there
to everyone on how we've made the browser issues that much easier to
handle.  I'm going to have to wait a few more weeks as we complete these
three sites, but at that point, I'd be happy to try and push back some
of these design principles to the rest of the group.

As I said before, if you're running into any issues that have you
stumped - please let us know so we can take a peek.

Cheers,
Tim
