Hi Everyone
Following on from the discussion on the user mailing list and the consensus to leave 14.12 and 15.12 as unreleased branches. I'd like to start thinking about the support timeframe for backporting bug fixes into these branches. My initial suggestion is 12 months. What do other people think? Thanks Sharan |
12 months seems a reasonable timeframe to me.

12 months seems a reasonable time frame for people to adjust to the changes. I am assuming 12 months from today, not from the branch creation date right? Good catch everyone - yes I mean 12 months from today, (so we'd be looking at July 2017 to stop the back porting.)
Also once we get consensus on the timeframe we can update the website. Hi Pierre
Thank very much for your support, although this is not a vote, just a simple show of support (or not) from any community member that wishes to do so. Sharan,
I know the difference between a vote and a discussion. My +1 expresses nothing more than that I can find myself in the proposal.
