Svn (hotwax demo) Ecommerce error

to test another problem, I created an account and login

I then add to cart  round Gizmo- GZ-2644

The Following Errors Occurred:

No product information passed, not adding anything to cart.

also thought I had login
but I don't see my info on the ecommerce page, that would indicated I
logged in.
so is there some changes to keep for using the full functionality of the
demo?
