The role of game coins in modern platforms: is it beneficial for users?

Meteor
In-game coins have indeed become an important part of modern platforms. They create motivation for players to come back and participate in activity, whether it's completing quests, buying in-game items, or participating in events. I especially appreciate when coins can be used to customize characters, which adds to the uniqueness of the gameplay. The main thing is that the currency is available and it can be earned, not just bought for real money.

Recently tried one of the platforms that stood out with its economic system. While playing games, I managed to earn some virtual coins that could be exchanged for bonuses or used to improve my gaming skills. I stumbled upon the online platform by chance, and I liked that it offered different ways to get currency without investing real money. This greatly increases engagement, because you feel like your achievements are actually worth something.

In my opinion, in-game currency is a great way to keep users interested, but it all depends on the balance. If the platform turns into a “pay or lose”, it's frustrating. It's good when coins can be earned through time and effort, not just through donations. Virtual currency should encourage activity, but not create a sense of injustice for those who prefer to play without investment.
