Hi All
We only have 7 days left for any presentations to be submitted for an OFBiz track at Apachecon Core in Budapest. Taking a look at our wiki page for the talks submitted, it shows that we currently don't have enough to fill the track. For the last 2 Apachecon's we have had a full OFBiz track so it would be good if we can maintain this. If we want to have a full track at Apachecon then we need a minimum of 6 talks plus at least one as a backup. Ideally we would like to have a lot more than 6 submissions so that we will have selection to choose from. If you have an interesting OFBiz subject to present, a tutorial that you would like to show or even an idea for a panel discussion then please feel free to submit it for our track at Apachecon Core. The link for submissions is below. http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/apachecon-core-europe/program/cfp Thanks Sharan |
But, as the ASF coordinator for the LF has stated, there are still spots
open. Though submissions take place till the last moment possible, it might be so that we could do more than just a one-day track. So please submit. More talks builds more attrtaction, drives more adoption. Leading to potentially more contributors, more (and better) solutions. Increases the importance of OFBiz in the Open Source ERP Market space. Not sure what OFBiz has to do with Big data, but submitted my
presentation anyway: GrowERP-PAAS A software development platform including ERP based on Apache OFBiz By combining a number of open source tools and connect them with Apache OFBiz, a platform was created to handle all operations in a software development company. GrowERP is an open source OFBiz component only showing a limited functionality of OFBiz using the standard database to be able to upgrade to the full system anytime without data conversion. Currently most open source companies are small and Apache OFBiz is just too big for them. This combined with an open source OFBiz Scrum component, Jenkins, Git/Gerrit you have the complete platform for organizing a vendor branch of the product you represent, a staging environment updated daily and a fully automated production deployment. Methodologies supported are Scrum/Kanban with time registration and accounting with automated invoicing including full ledger capability. Hi Hans
You are right - OFBiz doesn't fit into the Apache Big Data category but it does fit into Apachecon Core where we have been given a full track to fill. If you have submitted your talk under Big Data please can you log into the Linux Foundation and change it to Apachecon Core 2015 instead. Thanks Sharan |
