Users - Digital product with inventory

Hi all,

What would be the best type of product for a digital product which does
not need shipping but uses inventory services (there are a finite number
of items)?

I don't think anything like this exists, ie to do inventory counts  
but not require shipping... The easiest would be to use the  
"findig" (finished/digital) good and just ship it. You could even use  
a serial number if you have some sort of unique ID per thing that  
needs to be tracked.
