Users - Timezone, ecommerce

Hi,

I point was raised as to the timestamps when customers are doing
purchases.
Is the timezone taken into consideration in the OfBiz data structure?

For example, are the 'available on' and 'thru' dates adjusted
accordingly to the timezone? ( I would guess depending on the user's
profile  information)

>From what I have seen in the code, none of the code including base functions
like UtilDateTime.toTimestamp take timezones into account. We have discussed
adding timezone to Party entity on this mailing list and I plan to implement
base timezone functionality and release a Jira patch within next 2-3 weeks.
Note that I am not planning to make any changes to ecommerce or order
applications related to timezones.
