Users - anybody interested in OSCON 2006?

Si Chen-2
Hey everybody - I posted yesterday about an OFBiz booth at OSCON 2006 in
Portland.  Is nobody interested?  If so, maybe we shouldn't do it.
Please speak up!  Si

For anyone having trouble deciding if they are interested or not, some of these may apply...

1. this is an opportunity to meet other people involved in OFBiz and form relationships that may of value when you or someone else needs something done

2. this is an opportunity to spread the word about OFBiz, and the more people involved and helping to grow the project and clean things up and document and test thing, the better for all of us

3. this is an opportunity to market your products or services related to OFBiz; we do want to encourage this to portray the community driven nature of the project, as opposed to be driven by a single company; we expect this to remain friendly and tasteful, but this again benefits all of us if it brings more attention

There are probably lots of other benefits. It's a big show and should be informative and a good time.

I will definitely be there... I'm looking forward to meeting you guys.  I will hopefully have a server running OFBiz up for a month or two before the CON, so I'll have many questions. :)

Charles,

I believe Ian Gilbert was planning a UK OFBiz get-together this weekend
in London.

I'm not sure if this is still on, and sadly I won't be there myself, but
perhaps Ian could confirm...

Re: Users - anybody interested in OSCON 2006?

Ian Gilbert-2
Hi all,

Yes we are going to be getting together on Saturday and all are welcome although this may turn
into more of a social event than anything else.  I'm afriad I have recently started a new job and
so was unable to arrange anything more formal.  However David will be along and there will be some
discussion of Ofbiz I'm sure.  If anyone is in Angel on Saturday then let me know and I'll give
you directions :)

Very best wishes

Ian

Re: Users - London This Weekend (was: anybody interested in OSCON 2006?)

David E. Jones

That's correct, I'll be in London for this weekend and Monday. Ian has been generous enough to arrange for some things on Saturday like he mentioned, and if anyone is around on Monday (or even Sunday) I still have most of the day free. I'll be staying in the Piccadilly area.

Good to know there are UK Ofbizzers ;-) I'm not in London at the moment
so shan't be able to come unfortunately. Are we going to get a bit more
notice next time? ;-)

Re: Users - anybody interested in OSCON 2006?

Ian Gilbert-2
Possibly ;)

I hope to add some more structure to the European Ofbiz community over the next couple of months.
Unfortunately I've just started a new job so it drops down a priority or two but I'd be keen to
discuss a meeting of interested people in the next month or so.  I have as much space as we'll
need and a central london location for it.  The only limitations I have are that it has to be out
of hours (ideally weekends) and not too time consuming to set up.  We may even be able to get some
video feeds to some of the big names overseas ...

Speak soon

Very best wishes

Ian

Users - debugging enitymodel.xml loading.

BJ Freeman
I am not sure what I did to get this problem.
I am trying to figure out how to trace the loading of the entitymodel.xml.

I am getting en error that stop loading of ofbiz.
it says it can't find a definition, yet I see it when i search the
entitymodel.xml's.

The entitymodel.xml is in the local path in the ant build.

I have verbose debug turned on, so I see all the processing of entity.

any pointers appreciated.

Re: Users - debugging enitymodel.xml loading.

David E. Jones

Entity definition XML files are referred to in entity-resource elements of an ofbiz-component.xml file. Where they are located doesn't really matter as long as they are individually and explicitly listed there.
