Actually, I also like an answer to this. Is it as simple as setting the
shipping cost to zero? Hi Mike,
Yes, this is how we do it. You can set up the shipping estimates to make shipping free based on a quantity breaks. Although, promotions have free shipping action, I don't think it works. Hi,
1) in catalog, you can set single products to "Charge Shipping" = N, so your default shipping rules will not apply and the product is shipped for free. 2) you may create a Shipment Cost Estimate with rules that calculate 0 shipping cost if e.g. the cart total exceeds a certain amount. /catalog/control/EditProductStoreShipmentCostEstimates?productStoreId=MyTestStore - Karl On 03.04.2011, at 03:31, Fadzi Ushewokunze wrote: > > hi there, > > this has been asked numerous times before but i cant find a conclusive answer to this. > > how do you implement free shipping? i have tried creating a promo but check out process still requires shipping information including looking up prices. > > generally speaking what is best way to implement free shipping OOTB? > > thanks. > > fadz > |

For shipping promotions it's not quite clear.
The 1st (very old) version had been commented out about 5 or 6 years ago because it has some issues. Then it seems to me that someone fixed it (2 years ago?) but I did not find where and when, so yes I think it does not work Jacques From: "Raj Saini" <[hidden email]> > Hi Mike, > > Yes, this is how we do it.
