One last thing!
Apache OFBiz^(TM) is an open source product for the automation of enterprise processes that includes framework components and business applications for ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), E-Business / E-Commerce, SCM (Supply Chain Management), MRP (Manufacturing Resources Planning), MMS/EAM (Maintenance Management System/Enterprise Asset Management), POS (Point Of Sale) and so on. Can we remove the "...and so on" or write what it covers? Ron -- Ron Wheeler President Artifact Software Inc email: [hidden email] skype: ronaldmwheeler phone: 866-970-2435, ext 102 |
I know that "... and so on" is ugly but It is difficult to provide an exhaustive list too. But you are right, and I am ok if we remove it.
I would probably add to the items: Content Management, Accounting, Project Management. Then there are a few minor improvements that I would like to see: * switch the acronym/full name positions, i.e. instead of "ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)" I would prefer "Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)" * "Manufacturing Resources Planning" should be "Manufacturing Resource Planning" And about the box in the right side we could mentions that there are integrations with external payment processors etc... I think that ERP includes Accounting.
Are the CMS and PM functions full products or only partially implemented? If they are really functional modules, then we should list them. I just don't see how "and so on" can be in a product definition without putting the whole effort into question. Leaving it up to the reader to imagine what OFBiz provides and saying that whatever module they imagine is actually there, is too much for me.
