I also forgot to mention there is a big inefficiency and waste of space from copying everything from the gradle cache to /libs. Not to mention that this goes againt convention not only in Gradle, but also maven and even django, ruby on rails, and node.js. Modern systems usually externalize dependencies away from the source code.
