I've also noticed that the SERVICE type is defined as follows:

<ProductType description="Service" isPhysical="Y" isDigital="N" hasTable="N" parentTypeId="" productTypeId="SERVICE"/>

In my opinion there is a bug here: shouldn't it be isPhysical="N"?

And as a general rule, for what types of products should reservations/issuances/receipts be allowed? Probably only for products belonging to a type with isPhysical="Y". Does it make sense?

This is a good point Jacopo, that does seem a bit funny. I'm not sure how the order processing stuff will handle a ProductType with both isPhysical and isDigital set to N, but it makes good sense that a Service would be this way. I'd say set isPhysical to N and see what happens...

We haven't really done a lot to finish up the actually fairly extensive effort to support tracking and sales of services. It would be cool to support a services sales order that feeds into a WorkEffort, which already supports time tracking that can feed into an invoice.
