since a possible reason why RMI is unable to bind is that one of those values is null, how about something to the effect of:
+ throw new ContainerException(
"Unable to bind RMIDispatcher to RMI on " + "//host[" + host + "]:port[" + port + "]/name[" + name + "] - with remote=" + remote , e);

Resolution: Fixed

I struggled with a very bad bug yesterday : never ever even try to have a file with a space in its name in any directories (classpath?) of your OFBiz project under Windows.

But why a space in name ? A simple copy under WIndows (at least in french) generate a file name like "Copie de filename.ext" :(

RMI can't load because in such a case you got : java.net.MalformedURLException: no protocol: (de)) (RMI uses spaces to separate multi URI).

This is not the case under Linux.

I added a better error message in revision 473893.
