Something is wrong here. I just took a look at demo-trunk and the icon for locale lookup is missing. The function is not working on my local machine which has a fairly recent load from the trunk. See the screen shot from my local machine. Looking for English - clicked find and nothing. Also shot from trunk showing missing locale icon.

Which firefox version you are using ?? The lookup icon is visible at my end. Yes the find(search) is not working properly.

Previously I had some problems ff 12.0 but after updated it to 13.0, its working fine now.

But you are right the filtering doesn't work. The GetLocaleList.groovy calls every time:

The problem is with FF 13.0.1 Mozilla Firefox Yahoo! Edition
I do see it on my local machine with FF 13.0.1
It is also visible to me in IE 9.0.7

Lookup Local fields are type <text-find/> which are generally used with the FindServices class. FindServices is designed to work with entity data.

Lookup Local retrieves data from GetLocaleList.groovy which returns a List. In order to get the "Find" command to work there needs to be some feature like FindServices that can process a list.

There are very few forms using the LookupLocale form so unless someone has some other solution I do not see the value taking the time to write a class that can do FindServices on a list.

I think the code should be rolled back to present a drop-down list as in demo-stable.

One possible alternative would be to have a locals table. Locals on a server are not likely to change so it could be loaded one time and use FindServices to perform the lookup.
