CLONE -Several Content screens return an error if security permission checks fail for the logged in user

Several Content screens doesn't handle correctly security permissions: for example, if you log in with the demoadmin user and try to use the Template menu, a blank screen is returned.
My guess is that this is has something to do with the migration to the widgets that I did recently.
