paypal sandbox testing

aswath narayana
Hello All,
I did the following in the ecommerce site (r783613) - firefox 3.0.11
* I added 2 items to the cart
* clicked on the checkout
* shipping : no shipping - calculated offline
* choose paypal as the payment method
* continue to final review -> submit order

After this, I am always stuck at almost empty screen.
The screens says 'Welcome to paypal sandbox' - Please login to use *paypal
sandbox *features

Address bar url is pasted below.
https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=aswath%40veersoftsolutions.com&item_name=Order+%23WSCO10004+From+Open+For+Business&item_number=0&invoice=WSCO10004&custom=admin&amount=410.78&return=https%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8443%2Fecommerce%2Fcontrol%2Forderhistory&cancel_return=https%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8443%2Fecommerce%2Fcontrol%2FpayPalCancel%2Fmain&notify_url=https%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8443%2Fecommerce%2Fcontrol%2FpayPalNotify&image_url=https%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8443%2Fimages%2Fofbiz_log.gif&no_note=1&no_shipping=1

I assume, it should get redirected more properly to the paypal sandbox
asking for userlogin and password.

Has anyone noticing this?

Regards
-Aswath

Hi Aswath

Yeah it's a bit of a pain but what I do is open the login link in a
new window, log in to the sandbox, close that window and go back to
the original and click refresh.  Once that is done things should
proceed as expected.

Scott

I assume you have sandbox account setup
I have more than one configuration to test different conditions in the
sandbox.
so before I run a order in ofbiz I go to
https://developer.paypal.com/cgi-bin/devscr?cmd=home/main
and login
which takes me to my configuration page.
I then click on
Test Accounts
select the account I want to use then
click on
enter sandbox test site

Re: paypal sandbox testing

aswath narayana
Thanks for the replies.
As suggested, I logged into the developer.paypal.com in a new tab in Firefox.

Then in another tab, I did the ecommerce operations and tried to buy using pay.
This time, it did redirect to paypal sandbox site.
However, I am not able to login in the paypal sandbox.  Attached is the screen file for your reference.

Please suggest.

Re: paypal sandbox testing

The credentials are different for the test accounts within the
sandbox, they should be shown in the sandbox account.
