pos hangs

pos hangs on linux machine
can any body tell why it happens

I have had the same problem with Java 1.5 and Java 1.6 with Ubuntu 7.x 'feisty fawn'

This usually occurs when I click the "PAY" button without ringing anything up.

Sounds like a dialog box problem, I think there's a jira issue for it but
I'm on windows and it works fine so can't really help I'm afraid.

I have started using the Blackdown JRE and JDK 1.4, which are availible to the synaptic package manager on Ubuntu Linux. I had to edit the path  in the start up scripts. With ubuntu it is in /etc/environment.

On any platform, you have to use a sun jdk >= 1.5.

There are known problems on Linux plaforms due to windows managers : https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-567
