Hi,
I have a need to add some messages (well, at least 1) to CommonUiLabels.properties, and I notice that there are other language variations on this file. Being that French class took me in high school (not the other way around! ;->), I don't think I'll be able to put the messages in the other language files in the native toung. I was wondering if I should put the English message in the other files, or leave the message Id out, or something in between. Thanks for the help, Carl _______________________________________________ Dev mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.ofbiz.org/mailman/listinfo/dev |
Yes put the English ones first. Then hopefully someone else can help.

Carl,
just add an entry (in English) in the CommonUiLabels.properties file. Yeah, generally it's best to leave untranslated messages out. In other words just add your message to the English file. All messages should go into the English files as that is the fall-back (default) if nothing more local is found. For the other languages it is probably easier for people doing translating to use a property editor tool that shows them missing messages than to read through other languages and spot the English messages. -David On Mar 10, 2006, at 3:00 PM, Jacopo Cappellato wrote: > Carl, > > just add an entry (in English) in the CommonUiLabels.properties file. > > Jacopo > > Carl Sopchak wrote: >> Hi, >> >> I have a need to add some messages (well, at least 1) to >> CommonUiLabels.properties, and I notice that there are other language >> variations on this file.
