Hi devs,
Themes are a great thing. Now we have 5 of them. The downside is maintenance. We (mostly Sascha, thanks) spend a lot of time on that for the layered lookups. I wonder if at some point we should not deprecate some of them. For instance, Dropping Crumbs is an evolution of Blue Light and has also evolued into Tomahawk, should we maintain them all? Thanks Jacques |
As long as we keep Flat Gray (or the concept behind it).
All of the new new themes are cool and gee whiz and stuff, but as a provider of Global Software, we should keep one theme that is bi-directional and accessible to the sight impaired. That's my opinion anyway. It would be nice if the Flat Grey theme could get some attention (TLC) as well. -Adrian --- On Wed, 4/21/10, Jacques Le Roux <[hidden email]> wrote: > From: Jacques Le Roux <[hidden email]> > Subject: Thoughts about themes maintenance > To: [hidden email] > Date: Wednesday, April 21, 2010, 12:42 AM > Hi devs, > > Themes are a great thing. What about a SAS that will possibly have one for each Tenant? Though from the tenants point of view they would only see the ones loaded in their DB. As long as the themes are not broken they can be effectively depreciated by not selecting them or not loading them by changing the seed data. ========================= BJ Freeman http://bjfreeman.elance.com Strategic Power Office with Supplier Automation <http://www.businessesnetwork.com/automation/viewforum.php?f=93> Specialtymarket.com <http://www.specialtymarket.com/> Systems Integrator-- Glad to Assist Chat Y! messenger: bjfr33man <http://www.linkedin.com/profile?viewProfile=&key=1237480&locale=en_US&trk=tab_pro> Jacques Le Roux sent the following on 4/21/2010 12:42 AM: > Hi devs, > > Themes are a great thing. So I think we should better put them apart, and let them available to users. We already discussed about that but nothing happenned, maybe it's time now that the 10.0? approaches...
