I have a client that would be a really excellent fit for OFBiz, and I'm
pitching the product to them, however they want to speak with companies that have had it implemented and are happy with what they have gotten. We are looking at using all aspects of the product, CRM + ERP + POS + eCommerce Do you have any tips for implementation or contacts for places that have implemented OFBiz that I can have my clients get in touch with? Have you looked at the information on the Marketing page of ofbiz.org? Here is the URL: http://www.ofbiz.org/marketing.html It's been a while since we've done a push to get more recent information on this, so hopefully you'll get responses to this messages as well (and I'll get them on the web site if they aren't there already). But yeah, there is a lot of helpful information there. -David Elizabeth Hitchcock wrote: > I have a client that would be a really excellent fit for OFBiz, and I'm > pitching the product to them, however they want to speak with companies > that have had it implemented and are happy with what they have gotten. > We are looking at using all aspects of the product, CRM + ERP + POS + > eCommerce > > Do you have any tips for implementation or contacts for places that have > implemented OFBiz that I can have my clients get in touch with? > > Thanks, > ~LIZ _______________________________________________ Users mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.ofbiz.org/mailman/listinfo/users |

I have tried that, however I've only heard back from 2 brave souls, one
said I should check out the marketing page and the other said that I should try the list. They really want to speak with a few companies that are happy with the implementation. They don't want to just read a testimonial-- even though it is helpful. Also they want to know which parts of the system people are using, for some it's obvious that they are at least using the e-Commerce part of it, but who know what they are using in their shops?... Thanks for the comment. _______________________________________________ Users mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.ofbiz.org/mailman/listinfo/users |
Hi Liz,
We have been using Ofbiz for some time although primarily the ecommerce component of this for order management. We have also trialled the POS component but haven't really got anywhere with that yet. This is a shame as we have about 100 stores in the UK who would take this with proper implementation. There isn't a rush on this though and we are gradually adopting the software which is replacing some of our partners sub-systems. The last time we used POS it was about a year ago in a small temporary store in Angel. We didn't do sufficient planning for this and it would be fair to say that it wasn't a success. I'd be happy to chat with them about our use of the systems if this would be useful. Could you let me know your industry sector? There may be more appropriate users. We have moved to primarily act as a drop shipping manager at the moment although we do have plans to expand this into our own warehouses in the next year again. Very best wishes Ian Gilbert On Fri, April 14, 2006 22:16, Elizabeth Hitchcock wrote: > I have tried that, however I've only heard back from 2 brave souls, one > said I should check out the marketing page and the other said that I should try the list. > > They really want to speak with a few companies that are happy with the > implementation.
